First Universalist holds worship services at 10:30 am on Sundays, September – June.
Please join us in exploring a variety of spiritual practices, participating in ceremonies and traditions that ground us, sharing in music that moves us, experiencing sermons that encourage us to question, and coming together based on a belief that we must act together to support justice and peace in our world.

10:30 am – Creating Each Other – Rev. Frieda Gillespie – Jack Mendelsohn famously said “great congregations and great ministers create each other.” How does that happen? After 13 years of ministry, I can venture an answer to that question. It’s all about feedback – given and received.
10:15 am – Junior Youth Group, for middle schoolers in 5th – 8th grade, is currently engaged in the Our Whole Lives program. For more information, please contact Gwen Matthews. Junior Youth Group meets before the service begins in the Common Room downstairs.
10:30 am – Children’s Chapel welcomes all children (pre-K – 4th grade) for movement, activities, games, projects, crafts, and exploring the principles of Unitarian Universalism. Meet in the Sanctuary and then children are sung out to Children’s Chapel.
10:30 am – Nursery Care welcomes all children (birth and up) for care and games during the service. Our nursery is staffed by Redcross certified teen caregivers. Assisted listening devices that allow parents to hear the service are available for parents who opt to stay in the nursery. Children are also welcome to stay in the service and coloring pages and crayons are available in the Sanctuary. The Nursery is located down the hall from the Sanctuary.
11:30 am – Coffee Hour happens immediately following the worship service downstairs in the Gathering Room. Stay for coffee, tea, treats, and fellowship. Friendly UUs have blue mugs – say hello!
