We are a community of caring people engaged in the pursuit of truth and meaning through spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth. At First Universalist, we seek common ground while honoring each individual’s unique stance. We embrace a rich diversity of personal theologies and strive to know ourselves, one another, and that which we hold sacred through connective and supportive fellowship, creative worship services, and works of faith and justice.

Worship Services are held on Sundays during the school year, September through June. No services are held during the month of July or August, but we invite you to join us at the Yarmouth Clam Festival during the third weekend in July.

Our building is fully accessible with ramps, an elevator, and accessible parking spaces. We have assisted listening devices available during the service. We provide announcements in writing, spoken aloud, and projected during the beginning of worship. It is our goal to create a space that meets all of our diverse needs.

The First Universalist Church of Yarmouth is a Certified Welcoming Congregation. We are proud to be a faith community that has officially included and welcomed members of the LGBTQ community since the inception of the modern-day equality movement begun by the Stonewall Riots. Unitarian Universalist ministers have been performing commitment ceremonies since the mid-1980s and can now joyously officiate legal marriage ceremonies between partners of any gender
