Yarmouth Cares About Neighbors

Yarmouth Cares About Neighbors is a non-profit group that delivers a variety of support services and resources to those in need. This includes a comprehensive Resource Guide of sources for help in Yarmouth. YCAN also administers an Emergency/Acute Needs Fund and the Yarmouth Heating Assistance Fund and supports the Aging in Place Initiative. During the holidays, YCAN and other organizations come together to provide gifts for young children, food for holiday meals, and cold weather clothing through Project Holiday and Operation Bundle-Up. A free Rides Program is also available through YCAN for those who cannot drive, either temporarily or permanently.

Yarmouth Community Food Pantry

The Yarmouth Community Food Pantry is located behind the First Parish Church on Storer Street and is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Yarmouth Community Services

Yarmouth Community Services provides education and leisure opportunities and manages services. YCS operates a Medical Loan Closet that loans free health aides, such as wheelchairs, commodes, walkers, and crutches, to Yarmouth residents. YCS runs the lunch crunch program which offers free lunches for children ages 2 – 18.

Town of Yarmouth General Assistance

The town of Yarmouth administers General Assistance as a safety net for residents and can assist with paying for basic necessities, after all available resources for assistance have been utilized.

Yarmouth Farmers’ Market

The Yarmouth Farmers’ Market offers a Food Voucher Program with free $15 vouchers to community members who need food assistance.
