Sunday Morning Worship
Find the link for the live service at 10:30 am on the This Sunday page.
This worship service features music, an offering, a reading, and a homily. This service will be about forty five minutes. You can expect Rev. Hillary in the pulpit for three Sundays each month. The fourth Sunday of the month is a lay-lead Gathering Sunday.
When Rev. Hillary is in the pulpit, Sunday worship services will also be recorded and available later for those who couldn’t be there live. Gathering Sundays will NOT be recorded.
First U’s Religious Exploration Calendar
Faith at Home
NEW! Ideas for activities, music, movement, and more for learning and living your faith at home.
This year of virtual church offers constraints but also opportunities. How can you build discussions of values, beliefs, and faith into each day? How can you really live the Seven Principles? Why does it matter to you and your family to have a grounding in this liberal religion? With these questions in mind, we’ve developed some opportunities for exploring your faith at home.
Each monthly packet contains ideas for families of our youngest friends (ages 0 – 3), younger children (ages 4 – 7), older children (ages 8 – 10), middle schoolers (ages 11 – 13), and high schoolers (ages 14 – 18).
Children’s Chapel precedes services on Sundays, 9:45 – 10:15 am, live on Zoom.
Children’s Chapel is for our younger friends, pre-K – 4th grade. Join Anna, and once per month, Rev. Hillary, and once per month, Gwen, for a short, interactive, multi-generational gathering.
Learning & Social Hour
On Sundays after the worship service, there is an opportunity for fellowship and for learning from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, live on Zoom. Click here and enter the password COMMUNITY to join.
Most Sundays, breakout groups are available for general chatting, sermon discussion, and an anti-racism discussion. We also occasionally have special topics or “new to UU/First U” opportunities.
Junior Youth Group

Junior Youth are youth in 5th – 8th grades and they are exploring social justice topics this year. Join Gwen, Ben, and/or Christy for this time to explore how to live our beliefs and values in our community and world.
Coming of Age

Youth in the Coming of Age program are in 9th – 12th grades and are focused on discerning who they are, what they believe, and how to live, express, and share those beliefs. Facilitators for Coming of Age include Joanna, Alexis, Rev. Hillary, and Gwen. Ben acts as a mentor.
On Wednesday evenings, we hold a Vespers service from 7 – 7:30 pm, on Zoom. Click here and enter the password: PEACE to join.
Join Rev. Hillary, members of the Worship Council, and occasional guests for a midweek gathering of meditation, prayer, and the lighting of candles for joys and sorrows. Our Vespers service will be live on Zoom and will NOT be recorded.
